Jury hears boy, 7, describe how mother attacked him and his brother

A mother's plot to blame a stranger for killing her sons went awry
when one of the boys survived and told police how Michelle Kehoe cut
his throat, then moved on to his younger brother, an Iowa prosecutor
said Thursday.
Police found the 7-year-old covered in dried
blood in the family van the morning of October 27, 2008, in a secluded
area near a pond east of Littleton.

Five arrested in alleged gang rape; juveniles being charged as adults

Police investigating the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl have arrested five people, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
Three juveniles and two adults are in custody in the rape on Saturday,
said the Richmond police spokesman, Lt. Mark Gagan. The three juveniles
will be charged as adults, he said.

Mother finds solace in hate crimes bill

"My son was murdered as he was leaving a
bar in Greenville, South Carolina," the 48-year-old woman told CNN
about her son, Sean, who was 20 when he came face-to-face with what she
calls a hate crime. "He walked outside the bar and there was three
people sitting in a car outside and they called him over to ask him for
a cigarette."

Gang rape outside school dance lasted over two hours

A California high school student who police said was gang raped in
a two-and-a-half-hour assault outside a homecoming dance remained
hospitalized in stable condition Monday, two days after she was flown
from the attack scene in critical condition. As of late Monday, two suspects had been arrested in the case and a third was being questioned.

Amanda Knox's parents hope for acquittal

an Italian court's decision not to re-evaluate the evidence means she
will be found not guilty of murder.
Knox, of Seattle, Washington, has
been in an Italian jail and on trial for nearly two years on charges

Juror now unsure of guilt in Texas death case

to death in the arson homicides of his three children says she is
having second thoughts.
