White House focuses on stimulus package

Monday, 06.08.2009, 04:31pm (GMT-4)

Obama signed into law the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" in February and said the program would help create and save upwards to 3.5 million jobs but so far upwards of 125,000 jobs have been saved or created by the plan which is fewer than that 345,000 jobs that were lost in May alone.

The White House says as a result of the expedited pace, the recovery plan will create or save more than 600,000 jobs in the second 100 days of office but the House Republicans who never supported the stimulus are now saying "I told you so."

The stimulus is supposed to create jobs but so far that is not happening as we were told or expected things to be at this time and it seems each day more and more jobs are being lost.

Time will tell if the additional $787 billion stimulus package will do any good but the American people are not so sure if jobs will be created.

Many people believe things will not get much better in their life time and wonder how their children are going to survive in the Land of Freedom when in fast Freedom will just be another word and not have the same meaning as it once had.
