Dave and the panel discuss the return of “pink slime” to schools across the country. Although fast food restaurants have done away with the ammonia washed “finely textured beef” it seems that schools across the country have decided to bring it back to their menus.
We reported several weeks ago that McDonald’s stealthily announced they were banning “pink slime,” the ammonia washed inedible pieces of fat, tissue and meat from the cow. New government data show schools in four more states have since put aside concerns and resumed buying the controversial product.
7 states in total are serving up the slime – Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.
Should pink slime be banned from schools, or have budget cuts left these schools with no other options?
