With the inevitable release of Google Glass in 2014, many are beginning to speculate about the privacy and surveillance issues that surround the new technology.
Obviously with any new technology there is the potential for misuse – and Google Glass seems to be problematic when it comes to privacy. For many people, the idea of being filmed by someone from their glasses will make them uneasy and having conversations logged and transcribed will be unsettling.
Google would say that it is merely taking the functionality that we already have in our portable devices and making it more readily accessible. Do you agree with google, or does “Glass” take privacy issues to a new level?
